#3 BSU
I joined BSU this year, and although I am not black. I thought it would be a fun experience because I do not really particpate in any kind of school activity. Other than going to class and doing what I am asked of. But I hardly do that too. It is really not my fault, but I felt like by being in BSU I was able to make that club more diverse. I mean yes, it is originally suppose to be all about black students. But, they greeted me and accepted me as I am. I did not exactly feel welcomed but that is because sometimes they would do somethings and expect black students to participate, so when I wanted to get involved it was sort of a shock. But I do enjoy breaking boundaries and pushing limits. It’s really a fun thing to do.
When I first joined that club I felt like an outsider, but then I was able to become comfortable. I even sometimes joked about how I am black. But I am not, really. Haha, I sometimes get told I am more black then some of the black students there. I think that is really funny. Maybe, I am just ghetto. I hope that is not the case. I really just did what my friends were doing and followed their lead. I know following is not an attribute that I should continue to use but then again I also sometimes feel like in order to lead you must first follow. But that is just me.
